If you catch the conditions just right, sunset at Death Valley's Badwater Basin can really be spectacular.
It was getting close to sunset when our guide spotted this Cheetah...
I really enjoyed the image of the 3 zebra together, but the detail was a bit distracting -- so I removed a lot of detail from this image
We had watched these two brothers for many hours -- hoping they would hunt. Our reward was this pose on a downed tree.
There was a very cool vibe in this cafe/bookstore in Florence, with great music playing. It also becomes a cool bar at night, but we didn't witness that transformation. This friendly young woman was our hostess and agreed to a few photos.

I must have taken hundreds of pictures of these flamingos at sunrise, but this is the only shot with their heads out of the water.
The Ngorongoro crater has such an amazing diversity of life. Zebras are just one of many different animals that thrive there.
This large iguana was one of a few that were roaming about our resort in Grenada.
We ran up the path as soon as the rain stopped. There were lightning bolts behind us while we took shots of the harbor.

We made it here just before sunset and shot until it was too dark to continue. In my opinion, this is one of the most beautiful falls in New England.

We were having a late breakfast in the Serengeti (on the hood of the jeep) when we noticed these bee-eaters hunting in the grass near us.

I was freezing cold and my toes were going numb. I was about to head into the van to warm up when my wife mentioned that it might not be a good time to leave. I went back and took this photo.
The beach at Monterosso must be a mad house in summer, but it wasn't too bad in September. There were only a handful of people swimming and such. It was certainly nice enough for many people to walk the street by the beach while enjoying gelato.
